Nurse - Wound Care
Position Type: Full-Time | Schedule: Flexible / Self-Managed
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, independent Wound Care Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our team. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives with autonomy, takes ownership of their schedule, and is confident working independently while delivering exceptional patient-centered wound care.
The ideal candidate is organized, self-directed, and passionate about improving patient outcomes through evidence-based wound management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Perform wound treatments including dressing changes, debridement assistance (within scope), and ongoing evaluation
- Monitor healing progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Document all care accurately and timely in EMR
- Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound prevention and care techniques
- Maintain compliance with clinical and regulatory standards

Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted RN or LPN license
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently

- Reliable transportation
Preferred (Not Required)
- Wound care certification (WCC, WOCN, etc.)
- Experience in home health, long-term care, or outpatient settings
